Trouble hosting proprietary information? Try to relocate up in a no man's land.
The Pirate Bay has announced that it may soon take to the skies in its ongoing efforts to avoid the authorities. Various governments and legal teams across the globe have had the file-sharing website in their cross-hairs for several years now, which has prompted the site in the past to relocate its main operations to a secret location and to switch to only hosting magnet links for torrents. Now the site is seriously considering sending out a fleet of drones fitted with server stations that will hover several kilometers above ground and broadcast through radio transmitters at all times, making it even more difficult to shut down.

Build your own motion-triggered "Internet of Things" camera
Adafruit's "Internet of Things Camera" is a neat mashup of existing Arduino components into a versatile remote monitoring camera. The key here is in the word remote - a capability that's granted by the inclusion of a first-generation Eye-Fi card, which is an SD card with built in Wi-Fi, that can upload images to your computer or other device, or better yet to a variety of photo-sharing websites such as Flickr.

Arduino Tool That Connects Each Board to Its Own Source
If you create something with Arduino and put it out into the world, there is no well-established link to the source. If you personally made the device, the source can get lost over time. If you didn’t create it, you could have a tough time tracking the source down. You have the physical device, why can’t it tell you where it’s code lives?

ARDUINO LIKE DEVELOPMENT BOARDs
Arduino has inspired two other major derivates - MAPLE and PINGUINO.

Based on 8-bit AVR technology the computational power of Arduino boards is modest, this is why team from MIT developed MAPLE project which is based on CORTEX-M3 STM32F103RBT6 microcontroller, the board have same friendly IDE as Arduino and offers the same capabilities as hardware and software but runs the Arduino code much faster.
Pinguino is an Arduino-compatible electronics prototyping platform. It supports different 8- and 32-bit microcontrollers, all with built-in USB module (no FTDI chip !).
